To whom it may concern,

This letter is an unconditional recommendation for Shir Aviv of Shir Consulting.  It is, as well, an endorsement of his capabilities for designing data systems that solve the unique, and therefore, often complex requirements of a particular business or institution.

I have been in business forty-two years. During that period I have met many consultants but none with more ingenuity and problem-solving capabilities than Shir Aviv. He had the ability to understand our needs, the in-depth knowledge of Excel, which the project required, and the versatility to solve numerous problems that arose during a six-month project at our company.

The project entailed re-engineering a cumbersome back-office process that required too much duplicative data entry and was highly prone to error and losing data. We interviewed a number of consultants for our project and chose Shir because he proposed a system that was practical, cost effective and simple enough for everyone in the office to use and understand.

Shir divided the project into two parts. The first part was to purge our database of embedded errors that had accumulated over a period of years. This was a monumental task that Shir accomplished by ingeniously utilizing a number of techniques to filter the data and establishing comparisons to reveal the discrepancies and errors.

In the second part, Shir organized the accurate data into a single master file containing formulated functions that allow us to pull the data as needed and arrange it for reporting purposes. In other words, from one source I can now find what I need, when I need it and organize it as needed. Thanks to Shir’s conscientious work, dedication and tremendous capabilities, our back-office is now vastly more efficient which will pay dividends well into the future by freeing up resources to expand our business.
